Geghard Monastery is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of Armenia’s most sacred landmarks. Parts of the complex are entirely carved into solid rock, creating unique acoustics and a mystical atmosphere. Geghard is linked to legends, including the holy spear that pierced Christ. It remains one of the most visited sites in the country.
