Hayravank Monastery

Hayravank Monastery is located on a rocky promontory on the northeastern shore of Lake Sevan in Gegharkunik Province.
The site includes a 9th-century church, a 10th-century chapel, and a 12th-century gavit (narthex).
Its architecture is a cruciform domed structure with semi-circular apses, built from locally sourced basalt and tuff.

The monastery grounds are adorned with numerous khachkars (Armenian cross-stones) and an old cemetery.
Archaeological excavations reveal artifacts from the Bronze and Iron Ages: pottery, tools, weapons, and tombs.
