Discover two contrasting mountain resorts of Armenia in one day! You will experience the thrill of the Tsaghkadzor ropeway (2000 m) and panoramic delight. Then, you will dive into “Armenian Switzerland”—Dilijan, where you will find the carved balconies of the old town, the magical Haghartsin Monastery in the forest, and the tranquility of the emerald Lake Parz. This is a private tour, full of nature, architecture, and bright impressions.
Tsaghkadzor: Altitude, History, and Adrenaline
Tsaghkadzor is the country’s most famous climatic resort, located at an altitude of 2000 meters. Your personal guide will tell you how its history developed and what it became famous for during the Soviet years. You will see its main architectural landmark — the 11th-century Kecharis Monastery ensemble — and decipher the features of medieval architecture. But the main thing is, we will ride the modern ropeway on the eastern slope of Mount Teghenis to admire the magical panoramas of the surroundings from a bird’s-eye view!
Dilijan: Armenian Switzerland and Wood Carving.
Dilijan is an ancient, cozy, and incredibly picturesque city surrounded by dense forests. You will walk along its charming cobbled streets, look at the old houses with carved wooden balconies, and learn what amazing stories are associated with them. An atmosphere of tranquility and creativity awaits you here.
Haghartsin and Lake Parz: Forest Secrets
After walking around the city, we will explore the surroundings: we will visit the ancient Haghartsin Monastery. This complex is perfectly integrated into the landscape of the forest gorge, creating a feeling of immersion into another era. The final stop will be Lake Parz (Clear Lake). You will admire its calm emerald surface, and if the weather permits, you can even take a boat ride on it, completely recharging your energy from nature.
