Azat Reservoir, also known as the Zawashen Reservoir, is located above the village of Landjazat in Armenia’s Ararat Province. Its volume reaches around 70 million m³. The reservoir is built on the Azat River, which is part of a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The water is used for irrigating the Ararat Plain, while the reservoir is popular for its panoramic landscapes and peaceful natural surroundings.
